Selvatura Canopy Tour and Suspension Bridges

Canopy Tour

Selvatura's Canopy Tour is a must-see experience, offering some of the longest zip lines in Costa Rica and the only one situated in a pristine, untouched forest. The tour consists of 15 zip lines and 18 observation platforms, spanning over two miles of forest and offering a thrilling zip line experience while also providing a unique view of the treetops.

Upon arrival, visitors will receive an introduction to the safety equipment and be fitted with top-quality harnesses by professional guides. Shortly thereafter, riders will embark on their journey through the forest.

For those seeking an extra dose of excitement, the Selvatura Canopy Tour also includes an optional Tarzan Swing, a high-security rope swing that launches you into the forest for an unforgettable Costa Rican adventure.

Visitors are advised to wear:

 long pants,

closed-toed shoes, and to bring rain gear in case of inclement weather.

The tour lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours and is open to anyone over the age of 4, although there are weight restrictions (280lbs) and waist width restrictions (120cm) for safety reasons.

Treetop Suspension Bridges

The Tree Top Walkway is the perfect cloud forest experience for those who want to explore the beauty of the treetops at their own pace and appreciate the diverse flora and fauna, including exotic bird species, in the region.

The walkway consists of 8 suspension bridges connected by trails, covering a distance of 1.9 miles (3km). The bridges range in length from 150ft (50m) to 500ft (170m) and are suspended at heights between 36ft (12m) and 180ft (60m). With a width of almost 5ft (1.5m), the bridge system is the widest and sturdiest in Costa Rica.

Visitors can choose to take a self-guided tour or join a guided Natural History Tour. All guides are bilingual and professionally trained, and visitors will learn about the mammals, birds, and plant life, including bromeliads, epiphytes, and ferns, in this unique ecosystem, as well as hear interesting cultural history about the region.

What to Bring: Long pants, camera, insect repellent, hiking shoes, rain gear, and a change of clothes if it's raining.
